Iron Horse Motorcycle Museum
Part of the “Block That Rocks,” the Iron Horse Social Club, 314 Main Street not only has live music on the weekends but is also home to a motorcycle museum with two floors of antique bikes and memorabilia.
The collection of owner Jerry Gendreau features several old Indian Motorcycles as well as vintage Harley Davidson models. If you like old motorcycles, this collection is a must see as there are over 50 bikes on display.
Iron Horse Social Club contains an old antique bar and the third flood has been transformed into a wedding chapel that can be rented out for such occasions.
If you’re looking for a room in downtown Savanna, Two Wheels Inn features four rooms on Main Street. Rates are $60 per night on weekdays and $80 per night on the weekends. Call 815-273-2661 for reservations.
Iron Horse’s sister bar, Hawg Dogs, also features bands every weekend and serves a variety of food, including daily specials. Its located up the block in the historic Pulford Opera House at 330 Main Street.
